Compliance Officer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to help strengthen and maintain Monavate’s compliance framework. Working closely with the Head of Compliance, you’ll support regulatory reporting, policy governance, compliance monitoring, training, and the ongoing oversight of AML and KYC systems.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the importance of clear controls, accurate records, and constructive regulatory relationships. You’ll help ensure our compliance programme keeps pace with evolving regulations and supports the business as it continues to grow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Regulatory Compliance

• Support the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Company's compliance framework, including policies, procedures, and controls.
• Ensure compliance policies and procedures are reviewed regularly and updated to reflect regulatory and business changes.
• Monitor regulatory developments and communicate relevant changes to key stakeholders.
• Assist in the design, delivery, and maintenance of the compliance training programme to promote awareness of legal and regulatory obligations.
• Prepare and maintain regulatory reporting and submissions, including filings to the Bank of Lithuania.
• Assist in preparing periodic compliance reports for senior management and the Board.
• Support compliance monitoring and testing activities, including tracking remediation actions and ensuring timely completion.
• Maintain a transparent and constructive relationship with regulators, coordinating responses to regulatory enquiries, requests, and inspections.
• Escalate identified compliance risks, breaches, or regulatory concerns to the Head of Compliance.

Policy and Governance

• Maintain and update the Company's policy register, ensuring all policies remain current, approved, and appropriately version controlled.
• Maintain the regulatory communications register, ensuring all compliance-related correspondence is accurately recorded and readily accessible.
• Ensure compliance documentation, records, and evidence are properly maintained and organised in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Compliance Systems and Technology

• Support the review and ongoing oversight of AML, KYC, and compliance systems to ensure they remain effective and compliant with regulatory expectations.
• Maintain the register of approved compliance and KYC systems and assist with periodic system reviews.

General Responsibilities

• Perform all assigned duties with professionalism, diligence, and due care.
• Act in the best interests of the Company while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Report to the Head of Compliance on compliance matters, risks, and ongoing activities.
• Support the implementation of decisions made by the Board, senior management, and the Compliance function.
• Ensure compliance with the Company's Articles of Association, internal governance framework, and regulatory obligations.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all Company information, including confidential documents, trade secrets, and commercially sensitive information.
• Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, honesty, and accountability in all aspects of the role.
• Comply with all workplace health and safety, fire safety, and other mandatory Company policies.
